OUR STORY

Becklin Vineyards, located on picturesque Pete’s Mountain, is home to owners Don and Libby Becklin; their children Cooper and Lucy; and their three crazy dogs. The Becklins purchased the property in 2015 and began construction on their home in 2017.

Libby grew up at the site of David Hill Winery in Forest Grove. Her family purchased the historic vineyard in the early 1980’s, renovated the winery and century-old farmhouse, and created Laurel Ridge Winery with their partners. Libby’s brother, Chris Dowsett, is now a winemaker in Walla Walla, WA.

Don grew up in beautiful Grants Pass, in southern Oregon, where he witnessed the landscape of plentiful pear and peach orchards slowly give way to impressive vineyards and an incredibly diverse wine industry. After selling his majority shares of an online motorsports retail business, Don and family moved north to help care for relatives.

Although this is the Becklin family’s first venture into grape growing, Don and Libby are excited to learn as they go and meet more friends in the amazing Willamette Valley wine community. They hope to establish long-lasting relationships as they face the seasons ahead.
